April showers bring many letters

April is National Letter Writing Month. It is also National Poetry, Donate Life Awareness, Canine Fitness, and Fresh Celery Month, so it’s a busy time! Please forgive the tardiness of this post apropos of one of our most cherished activities, letter writing. We’re treating this as a library on/for/about letter writing to encourage our lovely readers to put pen to paper, stamp to envelope, and send away. Nothing but the Crest

To commemorate On Paper's 20th year, we’ve gone all out and designed ourselves a crest to use early and often. We’ve already unveiled it in our front window and it proudly adorns our shop packaging. While we certainly hope you’ll stop by to see it in person, we can’t help but show it to you here, as well. Celebrating 20 years in style We appreciate the elaborate symbolism reflected in historic crests, shields, and coats of arms, but we hope you'll allow us a little artistic license with our own nod to the pageantry, which was largely inspired by proprietor Joan's recent trip to Italy. Welcome to our 20th Year!

The traditional gift for a 20th anniversary is china, but as it’s On Paper’s 20th year we prefer to celebrate with paper, paper, and more paper!  It’s true! From it’s brick-and-mortar home on North High Street, On Paper has been designing wedding invitations and selling fine stationery, handsome writing instruments, and hand-bound journals for two decades. We’re planning a year of pomp and circumstance and we hope you’ll join us! Chin chin! Among the festivities, we’ve planned monthly workshops to gather our fellow paper lovers together.
